What do you like best about the Willow Project? I like how positive everyone in WP is and hearing the stories of the patients that come to our clinic. Also, the med school students are pretty fun to work with also. What is your most memorable Willow Project experience? The first time I did a glucose check on a patient, I was petrified because I didn’t want to hurt anyone by sticking a needle into their hand. But after the first two pricks, the needle was not strong enough to penetrate the patient’s skin to withdraw enough blood. Finally on the third try, I was able to get enough blood for a reading. After I finished, the patient told me that she felt totally cool with everything because she actually had tattoos all over her body. I thought the whole experience was really funny afterwards and grateful that she was so patient about it. What does being a part of the Willow Project mean to you? Willow Project is a great warm community that I’m really happy to be a part of. The people are so down to earth, friendly, and genuinely want to help others which I admire. It’s a great feeling knowing that I can give something back and also have a fun time with the members at the same time. Give an interesting story or fact about yourself? I am THE BIGGEST coffee addict you’ll ever meet. I need to drink three cups of coffee a day in order to function and to literally come alive. As soon as they invent a way to get caffeine in an IV, I’ll be good to go. What fruit are you and why? If I were a fruit, I’d be a pear simply for the reason that I like eating them. They’re not like other wimpy fruits that are too soft, but they’re also not too hard and they’re really juicy. What do you really think about Mayha and Fallon? They’re really funny and the height difference between the two is kind of amusing (at least to me). Mayha’s accent reminds me of Heidi Klum. |
